Building the "AG - Energy" Economy
From "AG" to "energy", that is our business vision - AG as in agriculture such as oilseed crops and oil rich algae, to energy in the form of biofuels, biodiesel specifically. The new economy we envision is one free from petroleum and fossil fuel consumption, or at least less burdened by dependence on it. Our current economy is based on producing products that are petroleum based, then moving these goods from production to market using petroleum based transportation fuels that emit CO2 when burned.
Whether it is clothes or food, it seems every consumer transaction is heavily laden with petroleum or fossil fuels whether the consumer is aware of it or not. Purchase vegetables at the store and one has bought a product fertilized then harvested using petroleum, moved from farm to market with petroleum, put in a plactic bag made from petoleum, driven home in an SUV that guzzles petroleum, then cooked with fossil fuels. The fleece you wear so you can save energy by turning down the thermostat is made from petroleum in a plant powered by fossil fuels, then moved through the marketplace using petroleum and fossil fuels. Clearly, we have to realize the situation we are in, and make long term lifestyle changes that make sense.
Carbon NEGATIVE Lifecycle
While persons and businesses search for ways to be 'carbon neutral' AG Energy Corporation is carbon negative. Our business model strives to be zero-waste. The energy needs for our business are met using a renewable resource, and our product will be renewable fuels. Our raw materials come from renewable plant resources, and we can meet our transportaion needs using our own renewable fuel. In doing this, our business will capture and sequester more CO2 than it emits, making us a consumer not an emitter of CO2.
The New Economy built with renewable domestic resources
Our driving goal is to produce fuel from domestic agricultural based non-food resources, and only use renewable energy to do so. This will preserve and hopefully expand our nation's agricultural heritage while freeing us from dependence on foreign oil and reduce our fossil fuel consumption. We deliver alternatives to petroleum and fossil fuels that allow us to make changes in the way we live.
